ACTIVITIES OF DEPARTMENT-HISTORY The Department of History organised Departmental Seminars four time in last academic session- 2016-17 A Picnic is arranged with final year Honours students every year. The students visited to nearby historic places of repute like: Bikramkhole, HUMA Leaning Temple Department has started Sahitya Ghara in the college for encouraging Odia writing and Odia speaking The Department organised a seminar on Secularism  

DEPARTMENT PROFILE-HISTORY Department of History opened with the very foundation of Brajrajnagar College in 1978. Students took admission into intermediate classes in 1978. History was one of the prime optional subjects. In 1980, BA programme was opened and History was one among the Pass subjects. History honours was warded from 1995 with 16 seats and it was increased to 32 later on. At present the students strength in +2 Arts for History Optional is 240 (both Section A and B).In +3 First Year Hons. 21, Second Years 28 and third year 18.
